President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has said the Dangote Refinery Initial Public Offering (IPO) will prioritise investors applying with N50,000 or less.
The announcement aims to widen participation and make the share sale more accessible to ordinary Nigerians.
Dangote made the statement during the final leg of the nationwide IPO roadshow held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
“We will prioritise people with 50,000 and below,” he said, according to a statement from the Dangote Group.
He noted that African and international investors had already committed substantial capital to the refinery. The public offering, he added, now gives Nigerians the chance to become direct shareholders in the project.
“African investors have invested in this refinery. Now it is time for Nigerians to invest in themselves and participate in a project that is creating value, jobs and opportunities for generations to come,” Dangote said.
He encouraged prospective investors to view the offering as a long-term opportunity that could support wealth creation and portfolio diversification.
Dangote also said wider participation in the capital market would help strengthen financial literacy and promote a stronger culture of saving and investing among Nigerians.
