Declare me Nigerian president to win war against insecurity in SE, Oby breaks silence

Former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, has defended her silence on the insecurity that is plaguing the south eastern part of Nigeria.

Recall that Dr. Ezekwesili has been severally called out on social media for turning a blind eye to the sufferings of the Igbo caused by the forced sit-at-home declared by Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

Many are of the opinion that being a former minister of education, she was expected to be vociferous about the inability of innocent school children being beaten and assaulted by IPOB for going to school.

She has been accused of being outspoken about events happening outside her regions, especially in Lagos, but kept mum over incidents in her backyard.

However, in a statement made available on her official social media handle, Oby, as she is simply called, stated that she has the magic wand to deal with the insecurity only if she is declared the president.

She wrote:

It appears they have once again conferred on me the Constitutional Duties of the @NGRPresident, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. They do so without handing the office to me so I can urgently, decisively and effectively tackle the degenerate state of insecurity in the South East and other parts of the country; and permanently put them to shame for their abysmal failure.

Such duplicity is the typical Modus Operandi of the @OfficialAPCNg @NigeriaGov folks and their Fan Club who never take responsibility for anything but suffer from an obsession to “grab power just for the sake of power”.

When you are ready to hand over formally to me as your Commander-in-Chief of the Nigeria Armed Forces, let me know.

Until then, enjoy calling my name in vain. ✍🏾✍🏾✍🏾

The PM of Biafra Republic Government in Exile (BRGIE), Simon Ekpa, declared another two week sit-at-home in the region to hurt the Nigerian economy and also force the federal government to release IPOB’s leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

This is expected to commence by the end of July, 2023.
