Doris Ogala Pastor Chris Okafor dispute escalates as the actress reacts after the cleric calls her “Jezebel” while retracting an earlier apology

Popular Nigerian actress Doris Ogala has lashed out at the founder of Grace Nation International Ministry, Pastor Chris Okafor, after the cleric referred to her as “Jezebel” while withdrawing a previous apology related to their alleged past relationship.

The development unfolded on Thursday, 5 March 2026, following remarks made by Okafor during a church address.

Pastor Chris Okafor had earlier apologised publicly to Ogala over claims that he ended a long-standing relationship with her to marry another woman.

However, the cleric later reversed his stance, denying that he had ever met the actress face to face or offended her.

Explaining why he had previously knelt in apology, Okafor said the gesture was directed at senior church leaders rather than the actress.

“Let it be known, I knelt down because of those fathers of faith and the church. Not because of any Jezebel anywhere. No, God forbid,” the pastor stated.

The remark triggered a sharp reaction from Ogala, who responded through a post on Instagram. In the message, the actress expressed anger at being described in that manner and warned that she would confront the situation directly.

Ogala wrote that she would show the pastor “what Jezebel does,” suggesting that she had initially refrained from reacting strongly out of pity.

In a video shared on her page, the actress further criticised the cleric, questioning the sincerity of his earlier apology and insisting that the matter was far from resolved.

She maintained that the apology offered during the church service was insufficient and alleged that previous court documents had acknowledged their past relationship.

The actress argued that the unfolding controversy had exposed what she described as inconsistencies in the pastor’s statements, accusing him of retracting his apology out of pride.

The dispute, which has rapidly spread across social media platforms, has drawn widespread attention and sparked debate among followers of both public figures.
