The Ede women wing donation hospital initiative was aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery at the facility while supporting patients and improving general welfare within the hospital environment.

Members of the group said the donation reflects their commitment to community development, humanitarian service, and giving back to society in meaningful ways.

Speaking during the presentation, leader of the women wing, Mrs Silifat Shittu, said the gesture represents the core values of compassion, unity, and service associated with the AjilalaOso cultural celebration.

She explained that the annual festival goes beyond cultural display, adding that it also promotes development-driven initiatives capable of impacting lives positively across Ede.

Mrs Shittu also encouraged individuals, organisations, and stakeholders in Edeland to continue supporting similar community-based projects aimed at improving healthcare and social welfare.

Receiving the items, the Chief Medical Officer of the hospital, Dr Isiaka Alade, expressed appreciation to the women wing, describing the donation as timely and beneficial to patients and staff.

He also appealed for further support from well-meaning individuals and organisations, noting that parts of the hospital require urgent structural repairs, including roofing sections.

Chairman of the AjilalaOso Day 2026 Planning Committee, Prince Adewale Laoye, also commended the women wing for the initiative, describing it as a model of community participation.

He said the AjilalaOso festival is designed not only for celebration but also for impactful social intervention projects that directly benefit the people of Ede.

Prince Laoye added that associations are encouraged to execute community projects annually, highlighting the women wing’s donation as a positive example of such commitment.
