The Rotary Club of Ikoyi Metro will honour Rotarian Emeka Nwosu as its 25th President for the 2026–2027 Rotary year on Saturday, 19 September 2026, at Sir Adetokunbo Ademola Hall, Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus, off Adeola Hopewell Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The 1:00 p.m. ceremony will also inaugurate the club’s Board of Directors and double as a fundraiser for community projects.

The invitation frames the afternoon as a gathering of Rotarians, guests, family and well-wishers around leadership and service.
Entry is set at ₦50,000 per Rotarian or guest. The club says generous support will help advance Rotary work under the motto Service Above Self.
Ikoyi Metro is a younger club than the long-established Rotary Club of Ikoyi, which this year installed Rotarian Christopher Ehiogie as its 42nd president.
The two clubs share a district and a neighbourhood name, but they keep separate leadership lines and project lists.
Last August the Metro club used the same Law School hall to install Rotarian Alexander Chukwu as 24th president.
That year the club commissioned the renovation and equipping of wards C1 and C2 at General Hospital Odan, a scheme valued at more than ₦100 million, and earlier equipped 64 Lagos artisans with tools worth ₦15 million.
Rotarian Alexander Chukwu said at the artisan handover: “We decided to invest directly in people. By equipping them with tools, we’re reducing poverty, taking idle hands off the streets, and creating a ripple effect in the community.”
Those earlier projects give the coming fundraiser a practical backdrop. Lagos Rotary clubs routinely pair investitures with appeals, because ticket sales and pledges often finance the year’s health, education and livelihood schemes.
The Metro club’s own invitation puts it plainly: “Your presence will make this memorable occasion even more special, and your generous support will help us advance impactful Rotary projects.”
Public profiles of Rotarian Emeka Nwosu remain thin compared with some district figures.
What is clear from the club notice is the formal handover: he becomes Emeka Nwosu Rotary President for a one-year term, with a new board sworn in the same sitting.
Whether the year matches the scale of the Odan wards or the artisan kit will depend on attendance, pledges and follow-through after the hall empties.
Rotary International’s Nigerian districts have spent the 2020s pairing ceremony with measurable delivery, from fire-service kits to hospital wards and small-business tools. Saturday’s event sits in that tradition.

Guests who pay the fee will watch a leadership change. The lasting test, as always in Rotary, is what the new board builds once the speeches end.
