Popular actress and producer, Toyin ABraham’s latest movie, “Ijakumo” has been ranked worst movie of 2022, by popular Instagram movie critic, Cinema Pointer.

Cinema Pointer, who is perceived as a Toyin Abraham secret hater by her fans released a list of Worst Movies in Cinema 2022 and Ijakumo took the lead.

Kemi Filani earlier reported about the review the critic gave the movie days ago.

Despite the negative review, the movie grossed 65 million naira in 5 days.

“Worst Movies in Cinema 2022 🏆 These movies somehow found their way into Nigerian cinemas to deliver the most annoyance, pain & disappointment to viewers, from January to December of 2022 🇳🇬 🥂Congratulations to all winners.” Cinema Pointer wrote as they released the list.

The list of worst movies are as follows:

  1. Ijakumo
  2. Scream
  3. Money miss road
  4. Obsession
  5. Inside Life

“I have seen Ijakumo, and I can say categorically that it a great movie. The reviewer definitely has something against the makers of the movie. Ijakumo is a great movie. No cap ” One Teslim_tot commented.

“Hubby and I watched ijakumo at the cinema yesterday and to be honest I agree with you, I wish her fans will tell her the truth so that she can do better next time” One decortiles.ng commented, reacting to the list.

“Av watched ijakumo more than 3 times….THIS LADY DID HER BEST..THE MOVIE IS SO ENTERTAINING…..UR REVIEW IS OBVIOUSLY FROM A PLACE OF HATE!!!FEAR GOD ASHIERE!” One bisbarm_hairs wrote

One delicious_cookey wrote, “Hmmmmn!!! I read some comments here and I just had to sigh cos I don’t know what in the actual hell is wrong with some people. One of the reasons I hate Yoruba movies is this mediocrity. Let’s call a spade a spade! I love Toyin I swear. I love her person, her family, her humility, and so on. But then I won’t ever lie and say her movies are da bomb. She doesn’t make meaningful movies to be sincere. I get that some people are low-key dumb sha and sometimes they find “trash” very interesting. Only an intelligent person can read between the lines and not so many people have intelligence, unfortunately. I do tell my sisters and friends that Nollywood movies would only reduce one’s IQ. It’s a sad truth at the end of the day. Shalom!!!”

Toyin Abraham takes Ijakumo to US, UK

Amidst the bad reviews and unceremonious award bagged by the movie, Toyin Abraham has announced that Ijakumo will be in the cinemas in the US and UK.

She wrote;

“USA and UK now is the time oooo🤪🤪🤪Tomorrow I will put up the link of where and how you can buy #IJAKUMO tickets and also the cities it will be showing in Yankee and UK🤜🤜🤜please let our sold out game be tight o🙏🙏Mo love yin pa and to everyone who has seen IJAKUMO (The born again stripper) Eshey Modupe o🙏🙏❤️❤️ Oya pls tell others that IJAKUMO is still showing in all cinemas in Nigeria and it’s too hot and too sweet not to watch and don’t forget it’s rated 18 “
