Dr Tunde Diya in his usual fashion started his comment with his regular line of “God Is The Greatest” followed by singing his Intiatives anthem, “su’re fun wa loni Baba Orun”.
Looking back at The Yellow Initiative achievements so far, Dr. Babatunde Diya thanked the state Governor, Prince Dapo Abidoun MFR for the I.S.E.Y.A mantra set as a guideline to follow through in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Ogun State.
Speaking with selected journalists and media practitioners, Dr. in company of his TYI officials and other stakeholders highlighted the achievements of the foundation in the areas of Education, Sport, Health, Environment etc as satisfactory within the short period the foundation has had to operate.
As a contender in the just concluded Local Government Chairmanship Primaries in Odogbolu, Dr. Tunde Diya congratulated the leadership of the the party, the All Progressives Congress APC, particularly in Odogbolu Local Government on the choice of youths to superintend affairs at the grassroots level which requires a lot of energy and hard work. He also used the medium to congratulate the Chairmanship Candidate, the Vice, and all the 15 councillors who emerged at the just concluded primaries in Odogbolu Local Government.
Giving assurance that the party will come out victorious in the election Dr. Diya noted that “the All Progressive Congress (APC), will sweep every polling unit in all the 15 Wards in Odogbolu Local Government, as I have been all over there and the overwhelming love for the party cannot be more glaring. They only need activation, which has already begun”, he said.
In commemoration of this year’s celebration of the foundation and to mark the 1st year anniversary of The Yellow Initiative, Dr. Tunde Diya pledged N1m in cash and materials for the party and the candidates with a promise to participate actively in the electioneering campaigns with all his team and supporters. He admonished the youths not to leave any stone unturned in making sure the party comes out victorious at the polls come July 24th.
“We started this journey to transform lives “officially” under the Yellow Initiative about a year ago, the journey that lies ahead is for more work to be done to effect this real change we clamour for and believe in.” He concluded
