The immediate past Delta State Commissioner for Works, Chief James Augoye has congratulated Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas on his appointment as Chief of Staff by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

Chief Augoye stated that Rt. Hon. Agas, having served as Secretary to the State Government (SSG) between 2015 and 2019, is fit and proper for the job of Chief of Staff.

Augoye, popularly known as the AgadagbaOkpe, thanked Governor Okowa for the appointment, saying there could not have been any other better option for the position.

“I have no doubt that my friend, Rt. Hon. Festus Ovie Agas is a square peg in a square hole for this assignment. He has a proven track record with which to deliver on this job.

“With the appointment of Agas as Chief of Staff, no doubt, our amiable Governor, His Excellency, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa is poised to finish well with the Stronger Delta agenda.

“I thank Governor Okowa very much for this appointment and others that have been announced before now. It is my expectation that the appointees and others to follow will do well to support our Governor to finish well,” Chief Augoye said.
