The former Ogun governor unveils a grassroots-focused restructuring to expand humanitarian interventions, empowerment, leadership development and community engagement across Ogun East

Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel, representing Ogun East Senatorial District and a former governor of the state, has approved a comprehensive reorganisation of the Gateway Front Foundation to strengthen its grassroots operations and expand its impact across the district.

The restructuring is designed to reposition the foundation for broader humanitarian interventions, leadership development and community engagement, with greater attention to initiatives that directly improve the welfare and opportunities of residents.

Under the new arrangement, Local Government Managers will be appointed to work alongside an Executive Secretary, who will serve as the foundation’s administrative head.

The new structure is expected to improve coordination at the local level and create a more effective system for delivering programmes and interventions to communities across Ogun East.

The Gateway Front Foundation will also place greater emphasis on large-scale empowerment initiatives, medical outreach programmes and educational support, alongside youth and women development schemes.

The expanded focus reflects Daniel’s stated commitment to using the platform as a vehicle for practical interventions that can improve living conditions and strengthen opportunities for people across the senatorial district.

Beyond humanitarian programmes, the former governor is also set to deepen his investment in political leadership development through the Political Leadership Academy, known as POLA.

The non-partisan mentorship platform is aimed at nurturing a new generation of political leaders by equipping emerging public servants with the values, competence and character required for responsible leadership.

Daniel reaffirmed his readiness to provide guidance, counselling and leadership whenever necessary, while urging associates and supporters to remain committed to selfless service, democratic participation and sustainable development.

The reorganisation also marks a significant moment for the foundation, which has maintained its grassroots presence for 26 years.

Daniel expressed profound appreciation to the partners, coordinators, members and supporters who have contributed to the Gateway Front Foundation over the years, acknowledging their loyalty, sacrifices and commitment to its work.

He said their contributions had helped deepen grassroots engagement and advance development efforts across Ogun East Senatorial District.

The latest restructuring is therefore expected to bring renewed momentum to the foundation’s activities, with the new administrative framework providing a more coordinated platform for community-focused programmes.

The appointment of the new Local Government Managers is expected to be announced in due course, paving the way for the implementation of the reorganised structure.
