The beverage giant was named Most Outstanding Company in Sustainability 2025/2026, a flagship recognition that underscored its environmental and social impact efforts over the past business year.

The company’s strong performance at the awards saw it secure four additional honours, making it one of the most decorated organisations at the ceremony themed “The Year of the Real Sector.”

Judges praised the company’s progress in achieving 100 percent recyclable, reusable or compostable packaging, describing it as a major milestone in its environmental transformation journey.

The company also expanded its water stewardship initiatives, including the installation of solar-powered boreholes in host communities to improve access to clean water.

On social impact, Guinness Nigeria reinforced its long-standing healthcare commitment by sponsoring 150 cataract surgeries and upgrading eye care facilities at Lagos University Teaching Hospital and Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital.

Beyond sustainability, the company’s brands also recorded strong recognition. Malta Guinness was named Malt Brand of the Year for its “Real in Every Way” campaign, while Smirnoff RTD won Outstanding RTD Brand of the Year for its inclusive “This is how we chill” activation campaign across major Nigerian cities.

Senior executives were also recognised at the event. Rotimi Odusola, Corporate Relations and Legal Director, was named Outstanding Communications Personality of the Year, while Oluwaponmile Alabi, Head of RTS Brands, received the Marketer of the Year award.

Marketing and Innovations Director Ramanathan “Ram” Solayappan attributed the company’s success to consumer-focused strategy and consistent execution, describing the wins as a reflection of strong brand connection with Nigerian consumers.

Odusola, speaking on the sustainability recognition, said the award belonged to both the company and its host communities, noting that its initiatives are aimed at long-term national impact.
