Nigerians are praising a female councillor, Onem Tyna Miracle, in Bayelsa State who many have said is a perfect example of the selflessness politicians should show.
Photos shared on social media showed the former state of a bridge which was built with planks to create a makeshift passage.
According to a Facebook user, Ugo Egbujo, who posted the photos online, she used funds meant for a new car to get the project done.
Other snaps displayed the concrete bridge that is presently in place. It is far better than the former where users have to take careful steps.

One of the photos shared on the platform showed her posing with the governor of the state, Douye Diri. Legit.ng compiled some of the reactions to her public service below:
Olumide Olugbemi-Gabriel said:
“I salute her. But ….people like Hon Miracle hardly go far in 9ja politics. I wish her well. There goes a human with a heart.”
Kalimat Suleiman said:
“Great. But I don’t believe building this kind of bridge is beyond the capability of a council government, especially one in an oil rich state like Bayelsa. Infact one of many oil companies operating there can easily execute this. God bless Nigeria.”
Obiora Chigbata said:
“Recommendable. The kind of persons we should be campaigning for.”
Victor Eze Obimba said:
“This commendable work of hers is a perfect model for public leadership and service. May God bless and elevate her, more and more.”
Ewobari Adrian Oguru said:
“Ogbia Local govt which is where the ward she is representing is located had many prominent and powerful men, but it took how many years before an esther rose up to deliver her people, Shame on those prominent folks, if i talk now folks will say i am talking down on awa brother…Rubbish.”
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that the lawmaker representing Suleja, Tafa and Garara of Niger state in the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Abubakar Lado Suleja, put smiles on the faces of his constituents.
Suleja visited his constituency to disburse N50 million to members for the holy month of Ramadan.
The disclosure was made by a Facebook user identified as Victor Kelechi Onyendi who shared photos of the disbursement.
