‘I Need A Boot’ Sports247 launches charity campaign to promote grassroot talents

Sports247, the foremost grassroot sports platform in Nigeria has launched the ‘I need a boot Campaign’ in bid to encourage future excellence and help upcoming talents achieve their dream.

The mission is to build a sustainable platform where local talents and contents are pushed beyond boundaries towards achieving excellence.

As revealed by the CEO, Jide-Ojo jide Olusola, the initiative was inspired by his experience when he went on visitations to various fields of play.

“Going to different football pitches, one major discovery I made was the lack of kits by these talents. Not even a single quality boot to showcase their talents and in the process, these young chaps easily get injured.

“Some who are destined for limelight are restrained due to unavailability of good boots and other football kits. This and many others make them opt out of the game untimely,” Jide-Ojo lamented.

Speaking further, Jide-Ojo stated that the campaign is strictly a non-profit making initiative.

“With this initiative, we aim to provide a platform for them and see how we can help these young ones. That’s reason the board has taken such a huge step of launching this charity project of ‘I Need A Boot’.”

This project is on the website where people who fall in this category can go to identify their locations and state the reason they deserve free boots. Beneficiaries would be randomly picked and supplied the boots.

“We are also calling on co-operate organizations, individual stakeholders, who may also want to support the project, provision of football boots or supply fund for the purchase are welcome,” he disclosed.
