An Akure-based man, Bankole Oluwole, has confessed to killing his girlfriend in Ondo State.
According to him, the horrible crime was carried out after he had already poured hot water on her and then tied her hands and feet behind her back.
“My name is Bankole Oluwole. I’m from Akure and a football coach at Bankole Sports Academy.
“The deceased called me on Saturday, saying she needed my help. Because I had been helping her for a long time whenever she needed money, being my ex-girlfriend.

“When she arrived, I offered her a Coke. I went to buy two Cokes.
“She didn’t even drink the Coke before she slumped. When she slumped, I was scared, and because I didn’t know what to do, it led me to make the decision I made.
“First, I poured hot water on her, hoping that would make her wake up.
“When the whole thing happened, and I didn’t know what to do, I tied her, cut her open, and removed her private parts and intestines,” he said.
