JAMB releases 2026 UTME mop-up results as candidates are advised to check scores through official channels ahead of admission processing
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released the results of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination mop-up exercise, marking a key step in the ongoing admission process for Nigerian tertiary institutions.

The announcement was made on Tuesday by the Board’s Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, who confirmed that candidates who participated in the mop-up examination could now access their results through approved result-checking platforms.
According to him, the release follows the successful conclusion of the exercise, which served as a final opportunity for candidates affected by technical disruptions during the main examination.
Fabian Benjamin also disclosed that the Board would begin ranking candidates immediately after the release of results, a process that forms part of the admission screening structure.
He added that the printing of results for admission purposes would commence before the end of the week, urging candidates to remain patient as procedures are finalised.
The mop-up examination was conducted on Saturday, June 13, 2026, for candidates who were previously verified but unable to sit the main UTME due to biometric challenges, technical glitches, or other disruptions at examination centres.
The main 2026 UTME took place between April 16 and April 25, 2026, across accredited centres nationwide, drawing thousands of candidates seeking admission into tertiary institutions.
The Board expressed appreciation to candidates and stakeholders for their cooperation throughout the examination process, describing the exercise as largely successful.
