JMG Quick Buy Kano upgrade

JMG Quick Buy Kano upgrade delivers integrated power, HVAC and electrical systems, boosting reliability and operational efficiency in the supermarket

JMG Limited has completed a fully integrated power, cooling and electrical upgrade for Quick Buy Supermarket in Kano, delivering the project under a single, coordinated engineering solution.

The project required a technically robust partner capable of addressing power reliability, cooling demands and electrical safety at once.

Quick Buy Supermarket selected JMG Limited to provide a turnkey solution rather than engage multiple contractors.

At the centre of the upgrade, JMG Power installed a synchronised generation system comprising two FG Wilson 550kVA generators and one FG Wilson P330kVA unit integrated with the grid.

The configuration now ensures uninterrupted power for 24 hour operations, supporting lighting, refrigeration, point of sale systems and essential equipment.

JMG Clima delivered a comprehensive HVAC solution tailored to large scale retail operations.

The installation features Trane rooftop units, ducted systems, VRF technology, standing units, cassette units and 14 inverter split air conditioning units.

The cooling infrastructure also includes extractor integrated ducting and zoning controls.

These systems ensure efficient airflow and consistent temperature distribution across the supermarket.

JMG Electra completed the project with a new electrical installation designed to enhance safety, load stability and long term performance.

The upgraded electrical backbone now supports both power and cooling systems with reduced fluctuations and improved reliability.

Nader Allam, Branch Manager at JMG Kano, described the project as a clear demonstration of the company’s integrated capability.

He said the installation combines power, cooling and electrical expertise into one coordinated and reliable solution.

With all systems fully deployed, Quick Buy Supermarket now benefits from round the clock operational continuity, efficient cooling, improved indoor comfort and a safer electrical network.
