Kazeem Oyewale has denied allegations linking him to an alleged attack on Governor Adeleke’s son, B-Red, in Osun State

The acting chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers in Osun State, Kazeem Oyewale, has denied allegations that he attempted to kill Adebayo Adeleke, son of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.

The denial followed claims made by the Osun State Government through Commissioner for Information Kolapo Alimi, who alleged that B-Red escaped an assassination attempt linked to hoodlums reportedly led by Oyewale, also known as Asiri Eniba.

According to the government, the incident occurred around the Oke-Fia area, close to the Osun Government House in Osogbo.

Reacting during an interview with journalists in Osogbo on Monday, Kazeem Oyewale described the allegations as false and politically motivated.

The APC chieftain threatened legal action against the Osun State Government, insisting that authorities could not substantiate the accusations levelled against him.

“I want to call the attention of President Bola Tinubu, the IGP and Nigerians. They should come to my aid because the governor and Kolapo Alimi have called for my arrest over untrue allegations,” he said.

Oyewale also appealed to Bola Tinubu and Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu to protect him and his supporters from what he described as continued harassment.

The transport union leader alleged that political opponents had targeted him since the 2022 election cycle and accused unnamed individuals of killing his younger brother in November 2022.

“They have been trailing me and want to kill me. They are lying against me, making claims that they cannot substantiate,” Oyewale stated.

He further denied involvement in the destruction of campaign billboards and dismissed suggestions linking him to internal issues within the Accord Party.

Kazeem Oyewale also urged his supporters not to panic, claiming that attempts to intimidate members of the NURTW through arrests and allegations would not succeed.

The development has intensified political tension in Osun State ahead of another election cycle, with accusations and counterclaims continuing between opposing camps.
