Dieko Afolayan, son of Nigerian filmmaker and actor Kunle Afolayan, is celebrating his 21st birthday on Friday, November 6, 2026.

The celebrant marked the milestone by sharing a series of stylish photographs on social media, drawing warm birthday wishes from friends, family members and entertainers.

Dieko, whose full name is Diekoloreoluwa Afolayan, has grown up in the public eye as the son of the filmmaker, whose works have earned recognition within and beyond Nigeria.

Kunle had also celebrated his son’s birthday publicly in 2020, when Dieko turned 15.

The filmmaker described the occasion as a moment of “double joy” because it coincided with the release of his film, Citation, on Netflix.
