The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, said it had sealed 12 establishments, including a Celestial church, hotels, lounges and nightclubs, for persistent environmental violations.

The sites are in Ogba, Idimu-Ikota, Ejigbo, LASU-Iba Road, Igando and Agodo-Egbe.

LASEPA said each had received warnings and abatement notices and a chance to comply before officers moved in.

The agency posted the list on its X account and said the action was to enforce environmental law and protect public health.

Thrillz Lounge on Odusanmi Street, Ogba, Marvel Hotel and Suites on Chrisbee Crescent, Igando, the Celestial Church of Christ, Aduragbemi Parish, at Okerube Bus Stop, Ikotun, and 10Kobo Night Club on Abanishe Street, Agodo-Egbe, were sealed for noise pollution and failure to follow directives.

Keviz Hotel and Suites on Councilor Ajayi Street, LASU-Iba Road, was sealed for obstruction of duty and non-compliance.

Also sealed for non-compliance were Feixiang Plastic on LASU-Ojo Road, DSN Hotel and Suites on Benson Onyeacholen Street, Rudaj Vegetable Oil on Tanimowo Street, Limas on Aro-Oloye Street, Abaranje, Nico Hotel and Suites on Ayawo Close, Ejigbo, Master Furniture on Coleman Street, Idimu-Ikota Road, and Nikky’s Executive Bar and Lounge on Governor’s Road, Ikotun.

General Manager Dr Babatunde Ajayi said compliance was a shared duty and that enforcement would continue where activity put the environment or public health at risk.

He asked businesses, religious groups, scrap dealers and residents to obtain the required permits, follow the rules and work with LASEPA for a cleaner Lagos. The report was issued through the News Agency of Nigeria.
