The film won Best Indigenous Language Film in West Africa and Best Makeup during the award ceremony held on Saturday, extending the franchise’s impressive run after the first Lisabi movie claimed similar honours last year.

Speaking after the event, Lateef Adedimeji described the past few weeks as emotional and memorable, noting that he and his family had received overwhelming support from fans across the country.

The actor shared the heartfelt message through his Instagram page, where he appreciated the award organisers, cast members, crew and supporters who contributed to the project’s success.

Reflecting on the achievement, Lateef Adedimeji said the recognition reaffirmed the hard work, sacrifice and dedication invested in the production.

A standout moment during the ceremony came when the filmmaker dedicated one of the awards to his wife, Adebimpe Oyebade, whom he described as his partner, co-executive producer and the mother of his “three kings”.

Lateef Adedimeji also praised director Niyi Akinmolayan and makeup artiste Hakeem Onilogbo for their outstanding contributions to the movie.
