Media personality, ỌMỌ́TÁRÁ ÀKÀNNÍ-LAWRENCE, has demanded a retraction and apology from an online blogger, Instablog, over a story attributed to her.

On May 31, 2023, Instablog lifted a quote from ỌMỌ́TÁRÁ’s handle where she wrote about relationship and the need for couples to desist from posting their partners on social media.
She advised couples and intending couples that flaunting their partners on social media is not really necessary as she highlighted the adverse effects of doing such.
According to her, exposing one’s partner on social media can put them at risk of unwanted criticism and monitoring.
As innocent as the reproduced tweet looked, ỌMỌ́TÁRÁ was upset that the blogger used the photos of the superstar, Tiwa Savage, and her mystery partner to illustrate the story.
The media personality, therefore, claimed through her lawyers that the action of the blogger has exposed her to online bullying, harassment and psychological abuse amongst other things.
In lieu of these, the complainant has demanded that the publication be pulled down and apology offered within 7days.
