Mr Eazi Sir Eazi moment goes viral as the Afrobeats star jokingly asks fans to add “Sir” after revealing his grey hair

Nigerian Afrobeats star Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, has jokingly declared a new title for himself, telling fans to address him as “Sir Eazi” after revealing strands of grey hair in a recent video shared online.

In the light-hearted clip, Oluwatosin Ajibade drew attention to the visible grey strands on his head and mockingly insisted that the change warranted a new level of respect.

“From now on, you guys have to add ‘sir’ to my name. Because I am not anybody’s mate. So when you see me now, say ‘Sir Eazi,’” Oluwatosin Ajibade said, smiling as he pointed to his hair.

The playful announcement follows days of online speculation after fans noticed the grey hair during recent public appearances.

While some social media users attributed the change to stress, others humorously suggested married life might be responsible.

Oluwatosin Ajibade married actress and fashion entrepreneur Temi Otedola in 2025 in one of Nigeria’s most talked-about celebrity unions.

The couple held a traditional ceremony in Dubai before hosting a white wedding in Iceland, events that drew significant public attention.

Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, has established her own reputation in fashion and film.

Temi Otedola made her acting debut in Kunle Afolayan’s Citation and has continued to expand her presence within the creative industry.

Beyond the viral “Sir Eazi” moment, Oluwatosin Ajibade remains a formidable force in African music. Oluwatosin Ajibade rose to prominence with a distinctive fusion of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian Afrobeats, a style widely referred to as Banku music.

Early hits such as Skin Tight and Leg Over cemented his reputation across Africa and international markets.

In addition to his music career, Oluwatosin Ajibade founded emPawa Africa, a talent incubation and funding platform that supports emerging African artists through grants, mentorship and global exposure.

Through music, business ventures and international collaborations, Oluwatosin Ajibade continues to play a pivotal role in the global rise of Afrobeats, proving that even a few grey hairs can become part of the brand.
