American R&B singer Brandy Norwood is set to perform in Lagos on December 20, headlining Flytime’s House of R&B at the Eko Convention Centre, Victoria Island, as the entertainment company prepares a six-night concert series for the festive season.
The performance will make Brandy the first international act announced for this year’s House of R&B event, which is sponsored by Glenmorangie.

In a video message, the singer confirmed the concert date and encouraged fans to follow the event’s Instagram page for further details.
Flytime founder and chief executive officer Cecil Hammond described the announcement as a significant moment for the event, which celebrates R&B music and its influence on contemporary entertainment.
“Brandy represents everything Flytime’s House of R&B celebrates, and she is the perfect artist to open our December season,” Hammond said.
Flytime chief operating officer Keke Hammond said the programme would deliver “six nights, each with its own identity and experience”, as the company expands its annual December entertainment offering.
Following Brandy’s performance on December 20, Coca-Cola Rhythm Unplugged is scheduled for December 21.
Flytime Fest, powered by Coca-Cola, will run from December 22 to 24, while Flytime Circle is set to close the programme on Christmas Day, December 25.
All six events are scheduled to take place at the Eko Convention Centre, with organisers expected to announce additional performers and programme details in the coming weeks.
Known to fans as “The Vocal Bible”, Brandy has built a career spanning more than three decades, earning recognition for her distinctive vocal arrangements and influence on R&B.
She rose to international prominence in the 1990s with songs including “The Boy Is Mine” and “Top of the World”.
The Lagos concert will not be her first performance in the city.
Brandy previously appeared at a Valentine’s concert at Eko Hotel and Suites in February 2014, alongside British reggae band UB40.
Flytime, founded by Hammond in 2004, has established a strong presence in Lagos’ festive entertainment calendar through concerts featuring Nigerian and international performers.
Previous line-ups across its events have included Nigerian stars such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido and Tems, alongside international acts including Megan Thee Stallion, Boyz II Men and Bobby Brown.
Brandy’s upcoming appearance adds a major international name to Lagos’ Detty December programme, a period when concerts, nightlife and cultural events draw audiences seeking entertainment during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
