Ajayi made the remarks during her welcome address at the event, expressing appreciation to the company for supporting a professional platform that fosters technical knowledge sharing, industry collaboration and innovation among petroleum exploration experts.

She noted that BOCA Energy’s sponsorship demonstrates a clear commitment to strengthening industry capacity and supporting initiatives aimed at improving operational standards across the sector.

The NAPE president also highlighted the importance of the meeting’s theme, “From Swamp to Deep Water: Designing Fit-for-Purpose Site Surveys Across Nigeria’s Offshore Blocks,” describing it as timely and relevant to the evolving demands of offshore exploration in Nigeria.

According to her, site surveys remain critical in reducing exploration risks and ensuring that operators make informed decisions before committing significant resources to drilling activities, particularly in deepwater environments.

Ajayi further stressed that the increasing expansion of offshore operations and the rising participation in marginal fields make access to accurate geophysical data more essential than ever for sustainable investment planning.

She encouraged participants at the meeting to take full advantage of the technical sessions by engaging actively, asking informed questions and deepening their professional competence in line with global best practices.
