A Nigerian pastor has caused tongues wagging and ears flapping from side to side after he carelessly said Christians who are still living in people’s apartment will go to hell.
The founder of Rock of Ages Christian Assembly Inc, Pastor Charles Osasuwa argued that once you live in someone’s house, you are going to serve him as you don’t want to make any mistake that will compel him to throw you out.
The pastor argued that the landlord inevitably becomes your Lord, which is equivalent to the God you serve. He said for this reason, it’s wrong for one to continue staying in another person’s house as a Christian since you could be serving two masters at the same time and that’s sinful.
He therefore begged Christians to try as much possible to build their own houses where they will not have any interference from their landlords.
He emphasized on Deuteronomy 5: 9 which says: “Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.”
