Nollywood stars and fans celebrate veteran actress Mama Rainbow’s 82nd birthday with emotional tributes, as she shares gratitude for her long life.

The iconic Yoruba film star has been showered with warm birthday messages and tributes, recognising her enduring legacy in the Nigerian film industry.

Mama Rainbow, who has graced the screen for decades, shared several emotional posts on her Instagram page to celebrate her new age.

In one post, the legendary actress expressed her deep gratitude to God for blessing her with another year of life. “+1 today, am now 82 years today. Thank you DADDY,” she wrote, reflecting on her milestone birthday.

The veteran actress also shared her thoughts on aging, noting that turning 82 is not an end but the beginning of a new chapter filled with the wisdom and experiences she has accumulated over eight decades.

“Turning 82 doesn’t mean the end of anything. It means the beginning of another year with a full eight decades of wisdom. Am still your baby family,” she posted, accompanied by a light-hearted and cheerful message.

In another post, Mama Rainbow thanked God for His endless mercy and love, acknowledging His guidance through life’s challenges and for filling her life with joy.
