Some Nigerians home and abroad are growing increasingly uncomfortable by the day over candidature of Asiwaju Bola Adekunle Tinubu, who is running on the platform of the All Progressives Congress party, APC.

Unlike before, it is becoming surprising the extent anti-Tinubu elements go to show their disapproval.

Ebun Oloyede, popularly known as Olaiya Igwe, was recently attacked all the way from the United States of America by a Nigerian based in the country for openly supporting Tinubu’s ambition, along with his other colleagues.

Recall that Freelanews reported how Prince Jide Kosoko took to the social media to explain the reasons behind the massive supports given to the actualisation of Tinubu’s ambition.

The aggressor, Lekan Ogunyemi, obviously an acquaintance of Oloyede from way back, called the actor to insult him over his choice and went as far as calling him a beggar.

“How dare you guys like Oga Bello (Adebayo Salami) and Jide Kosoko go on social media to ask us to vote for Tinubu? If your works can no longer sustain you, why don’t you guys go and find something else to do?” he demanded.

Olaiya Igwe, well versed in his response, tongue-lashed Ogunyemi and gave him a piece of his mind.

“When I was sick and dying with a near death experience, it was this same Tinubu and his wife who ensured that I didn’t die. Where were you when my younger brother informed you?

“This couple ensured I got the best medical treatment here in Nigeria and even made attempt to fly me abroad for comprehensive care. Lekan, where were you? O o ni s’orire (you’ll be unfortunate),” Olaiya angrily responded.

The hot exchange, which was mostly in Yoruba language, aptly captured the intensity of the escalation of supporters’ feelings as the general elections draw close.
