He attended St Paul’s School from 1955-1960, Ise Emure Grammar School, from 1963-1967, and Ijebu Ode, from 1968-1970 before he was enlisted in the Nigerian Police Force as a Cadet sub-inspector.
As an officer, he rose through the Ranks and earned promotions along the line to the Rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police, Commissioner of Police, and finally the Chief of Police, in Nigeria.
King Emmanuel Adebayo was enthroned in 2008, He was a very strong supporter of sporting activities during his time, he loved games and occasionally played table tennis, lawn tennis, badminton, and snooker when time permitted
