Market women in Obawole area of Ogba, Lagos State could not hide their joy over the disbursement of low-interest loans to them by Happy Hour Capital Limited as the credit facility will boost their businesses.

It was gathered that the beneficiaries received N50,000 to improve their petty trades. The HHC’s low-interest loans are expected to be repaid in six months at a weekly or monthly installment depending on the recipients’ convenience, representing an interest rate of one per cent.

Ever since the company, with head office behind Excellence Hotel in Ogba, opened its branch office in Obawole, petty traders and low income earners have been trooping the office to get their financial needs met.

According to the branch manager at Happy Hour Capital Limited, Titilope Ahide, the company has never come short of putting smiles on the faces of its clients due to the speed of processing the loan and almost nonexistence documentation requirements.

“The beneficiaries, who are mostly women, are given between the sum of N50,000 and more, which will be repaid in six months at a weekly or monthly installment at a very low interest rate.

“There are no hidden charges for the loans and beneficiaries who pay back regularly and on time may be rewarded and given higher loan facilities,” Ahide stated.

She added that HHC services are not only available to women alone, but to all genders.

“In the short period of time we have opened the branch, our customer base has continue to grow geometrically which is a testament to the acceptability of our brand in the community. And of course, we also extend our services to the men too.”

Many customers have lauded the decision the lender to assist market women in the town, stressing that since then, they have been saved from fraudsters who approach them for daily contribution only to abscond with their money.

“I as a person really appreciate this gesture by Happy Hour. I was initially hesitant when their marketer approached me because of the horrible experience I once had in the hands of the so called loan people. But now, I’m convinced Happy Hour really means business because I met everything just the way they promised,” a stall owner said when Freelanews interviewed her.

Many potential clients have started applying for the loan facility, commending HHC for the assistance, stating that it will help them improve their businesses.
