The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, on Thursday, July 16, 2026, strengthened Ogun security ties through a courtesy visit to His Majesty, Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege, the Olota of the Ancient and Paramount Ottaland, Awori Kingdom, at the Ipeti Royal Square in Ota, Ogun State.

The visit brought together senior police officers, traditional rulers, community leaders and youth representatives in a move aimed at reinforcing cooperation between security authorities and local institutions in maintaining peace across the state.

CP Ojajuni, who was accompanied by senior officers of the Ogun State Police Command and the Ota Area Command led by Area Commander ACP Oladele Bamidele, was warmly received by the monarch, members of the Olota-in-Council and community stakeholders.

During the engagement, the Commissioner expressed appreciation to the Olota, other royal fathers and residents of Ottaland for their continued support and partnership with the Nigeria Police Force.

He also appealed for continued cooperation from traditional institutions and community members in the collective effort to prevent crime and promote security across Ogun State.

In response, Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege commended the Commissioner’s leadership style, describing his approach to security management as professional and proactive.

The monarch particularly highlighted the Commissioner’s security initiative, “Operation Kosaye”, which he said had contributed to strengthening efforts against criminal activities within Ogun State and neighbouring areas.

“His Majesty reaffirmed that the people of Ota-Awori are peaceful, hospitable, and committed to justice, while remaining resolute in preserving the rich cultural heritage of Aworiland and supporting sustainable development,” a statement from the palace said.

A major highlight of the visit was the presentation of an Award of Recognition to CP Ojajuni by the Olota in appreciation of his dedication and service.

The Commissioner also presented a reciprocal award to the monarch, recognising his support and contributions towards promoting peace and security in Ogun State.
