Former Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, and former Ekiti State First Lady, Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi, were also among those who attended the ceremony.

The gathering brings together family members, political figures and friends of the late actor as they honour a career that spanned decades and left a lasting mark on Nigerian theatre, television and film.

Jacobs, whose full name was Oludotun Baiyewun Jacobs, died on September 16, 2026, at the age of 84.

His death prompted tributes from across Nigeria’s entertainment industry, with colleagues and admirers remembering his extensive contribution to Nollywood and the performing arts.

The funeral mass follows a Night of Tributes held on Wednesday, September 30, at Glover Memorial Hall in Marina, Lagos Island.
