Omowunmi Oyeyemi hearing aid appeal seeks Nigerians’ support to raise ₦700,000 for her daughter Fathia’s hearing treatment at LASUTH
A mother, Omowunmi Oyeyemi hearing aid appeal, has touched the hearts of many Nigerians as she calls for support to help her daughter, Fathia Oyeyemi, access life-changing treatment.
Fathia, a special child, has been deaf from birth and struggles daily without the ability to hear.
A recent diagnosis at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) revealed that she urgently needs hearing aids, with the total cost amounting to ₦350,000 per ear. The molds for both ears will cost an additional ₦60,000, bringing the total to ₦700,000.
Her mother explained that a private hospital had previously billed them a staggering ₦2,000,000 per ear, totalling ₦4,000,000, a sum far beyond the family’s means.

Thankfully, LASUTH presented a more affordable option, but even this remains out of reach without public support.
“My daughter deserves a chance to hear and live a fuller life. I appeal to philanthropic Nigerians to help us raise the required funds,” Omowunmi pleaded.
She urged kind-hearted individuals to extend their compassion and assist in making Fathia’s dream of hearing a reality.
