Pernod Ricard Nigeria celebrates Bastille Day with French Consulate, highlighting Martell cocktails, shared values, and Franco-Nigerian cultural ties

Pernod Ricard Nigeria celebrates Bastille Day in a grand show of elegance, culture, and Franco-Nigerian friendship, marking France’s National Day with two refined events in Lagos and Abuja.

The celebrations, hosted at the Lycée Français Louis Pasteur and the French Ambassador’s Residence, brought together diplomats, partners, and friends of France to honour shared values of liberty, equality, and fraternity.

With its deep French heritage and global presence, Pernod Ricard Nigeria elevated the evening with its signature style of convivialité, curating an elegant Martell cocktail bar that served a refined menu of bespoke cocktails.

The ambiance reflected the brand’s ethos of warmth, sophistication, and celebration.

“Pernod Ricard Nigeria is proud to be part of this moment of cultural pride and connection. These celebrations are not just about heritage, but about shared values and enduring friendship,” said the company’s spokesperson.

Guests experienced the best of French hospitality, enjoying premium drinks, vibrant conversation, and a welcoming atmosphere.

More than a symbolic toast to France, the partnership between Pernod Ricard Nigeria and the French Consulate highlighted a deep-rooted commitment to fostering diplomatic, cultural, and social connections.

French Consul General, Monsieur Laurent Favieur, in his remarks, celebrated the growing collaboration between France and Nigeria.

We don’t just create premium experiences—we do so with a mindful approach to community, sustainability, and legacy.

He noted the importance of shared values in strengthening bilateral ties and praised the efforts of corporate partners like Pernod Ricard for deepening cultural engagement.

This year’s Bastille Day also marked the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landings—an enduring symbol of unity and the fight for freedom.

The occasion added historic weight to an already meaningful celebration.

As part of its broader purpose, Pernod Ricard Nigeria continues to embed sustainability and responsibility into its operations.

The company’s actions are guided by four sustainability pillars: Nurturing Terroir, Valuing People, Circular Making, and Responsible Hosting.

These principles were reflected in the organisation of the Bastille Day events, showcasing not only celebration but also commitment to purpose-driven impact.

“Responsible hosting is at the heart of our brand,” the company added.

“We don’t just create premium experiences—we do so with a mindful approach to community, sustainability, and legacy.”
