Precious Dede sister quadruplets story as ex-Super Falcons keeper celebrates sibling’s four babies after years of waiting

Former Super Falcons goalkeeper Precious Dede has shared in the joy of her younger sister, Ify, who has given birth to a set of quadruplets after years of waiting.

Dede, 46, announced the news on Sunday through her Facebook page, describing the development as a deeply emotional and beautiful moment for her family.

“After many years of waiting, God showed up in the most beautiful way — four precious blessings at once. Double the boys, double the girls, quadruple the joy,” Dede wrote.

“Our hearts are full beyond words. Years of prayers, tears and hope have now turned into four miracles. God is faithful. From waiting to overflowing. One pregnancy, four heartbeats. Endless joy. Proof that delay is not denial. He turned our waiting into wonders.

“When God writes your story, He makes it beautiful in His time. God didn’t just answer, He overdelivered. Congratulations to my family.”

Speaking on Monday, Dede clarified that she was celebrating her sister’s delivery and not her own.

“The proud mum is my kid sister, Ify, not me. Just clarifying that I am the cool aunt. Thank you very much,” she said.

Beyond the family celebration, Dede remains one of Nigeria’s most accomplished female footballers. She represented Nigeria at four FIFA Women’s World Cup tournaments in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015.

Dede also featured at three Women’s Olympic Football Tournaments in 2000, 2004 and 2008. She won the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations titles in 2010 and 2014.

After retiring from active football in 2016, Dede obtained a CAF C coaching licence in 2024. In November 2025, the West Africa Football Union Zone B appointed her as Women’s Football Development Manager.

The Precious Dede sister quadruplets celebration adds a heartfelt chapter to the public life of a former international whose influence continues beyond the pitch.
