Oyo police confirm Precious Mogaji’s death in Ibadan. Boyfriend at large; investigations ongoing. Public urged to report information
The command’s spokesperson, Olayinka Ayanlade, said the incident was reported by a good Samaritan who found Mogaji lying lifeless at the entrance of her boyfriend’s room early Monday morning.

The boyfriend, 29-year-old Quadri Mohammed, is currently at large.
Ayanlade clarified that contrary to initial reports, the killing did not occur in Akobo, nor did it involve a husband allegedly placing his wife’s body in a car trunk.
The Police Public Relations Officer emphasised that misinformation circulating on social media was false.
“The Oyo State Police Command has commenced investigation into the alleged murder of Precious Mogaji,” Ayanlade said.
“Upon receiving the report, officers from Ojoo Division were promptly dispatched to the scene, where the lifeless body was discovered at the doorway of the suspect’s room.”
Police forensic teams examined the scene, documented the findings, and evacuated the body to a hospital morgue for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Authorities stated that investigation efforts are ongoing, with intensified operations to apprehend the suspect, Quadri Mohammed.
The command urged members of the public with information to report to the nearest Police station or contact the state Police headquarters.

“The command will provide further updates as the investigation progresses and calls on the public to disregard misleading reports circulating online,” Ayanlade added.
