Jigawa State Government has confirmed the death of a pregnant woman who tested positive for COVID-19.
Chairman of the state task force, Dr Abba Zakari confirmed the death to DAILY POST.
He said the woman was among the nine cases confirmed in the state.
He explained that the patient who is from Zareka ward in Miga local died on Sunday at the isolation centre in Duste, the state capital.
A family member confirmed that the woman bled to death as a result of the miscarriage she had at the isolation centre.
He said the woman has been buried according to Islamic teachings.
