…Launches design contest for fashion collection

Activities to mark the first anniversary of beloved music icon, Olanrewaju Fasasi, aka Sound Sultan’s passing have kicked off in full gear.

In addition to the highly anticipated release of his first post-humous studio release, “Reality Chq”, set to drop in July, Now Muzik, managers of the Sound Sultan estate, have announced the collaboration between Naija Ninja and foremost home-grown fashion brand, NACK Apparel, towards the launch of the late icon’s merch line, SOUND SULTAN ETERNAL.

And in line with the late Sultan’s vision of nurturing and empowering young talents, they are kicking it off with a fashion graphic design competition, tagged NACK x NAIJA NINJA for SOUND SULTAN DESIGN COMPETITION.

The competition, inviting entries from all over Nigeria & beyond, is an online contest for the Sound Sultan Eternal (SSE) line of apparel and accessories, which offers fair and equal opportunity to young, up-and-coming fashion graphic designers.
Entries are opened from May 2 to May 12, with a selection process taking place from the 15th to 18th, and the finale on May 19, where the winners will be announced. The second runner-up goes home with a prize of N200,000, the first runner-up – N300,000, while the winner lands the grand prize of N1,000,000 and the opportunity to design bespoke SSE merch.

Celebrity judges for the online competition are Toke Makinwa, Basketmouth, Baba Dee, and NACK Apparel CEO, Tolulope Akin.
