Rosy Meurer denies snatching Olakunle Churchill from Tonto Dikeh, insisting there was no friendship or betrayal involved

Nollywood actress Rosy Meurer has denied allegations that she snatched Olakunle Churchill from his former wife, Tonto Dikeh, insisting there was never any friendship or betrayal involved.

Rosy Meurer addressed the claims in a series of videos shared on Instagram after social media users revived assertions that she had once been close to Tonto Dikeh before becoming involved with Olakunle Churchill.

The actress categorically stated that she had never met Tonto Dikeh, never exchanged phone numbers with her and had no form of personal relationship.

According to Rosy Meurer, the narrative that she was introduced to Olakunle Churchill by his former wife is entirely false.

“I was never my husband’s ex’s friend, not to talk of best friend. I have never met her, I have never seen her,” Rosy Meurer said, adding that there could be no betrayal without a prior relationship.

Rosy Meurer maintained that she met Olakunle Churchill independently and was not part of his previous marriage in any capacity.

The clarification came shortly after speculation surfaced online that she had unfollowed her husband on Instagram.

The timing coincided with Olakunle Churchill’s celebration of his son King Andre’s 10th birthday.

Photographs from the event showed Olakunle Churchill and Tonto Dikeh together with their son, prompting renewed public interest given their well documented marital dispute.

Rosy Meurer said she encouraged her husband to travel to Lagos for the celebration because he had not seen his son in some time.

The actress described herself as happy in her marriage and said she was pleased that the children were able to spend meaningful time with their father.

At the time of posting the videos, Rosy Meurer was in Cancun, Mexico, marking her birthday.

Olakunle Churchill and Tonto Dikeh married in 2015 before their union ended in 2017 following a highly publicised fallout.

Tonto Dikeh accused Olakunle Churchill of domestic violence and other misconduct, allegations he denied.

In 2022, Olakunle Churchill issued a cease and desist letter over statements he said damaged his reputation and that of his wife.

Following the separation, Olakunle Churchill married Rosy Meurer, and the couple welcomed a son in 2021.

The latest rebuttal marks another chapter in a long running public saga that continues to attract intense scrutiny online.
