Rotary International District 9112 brings Rotarians, partners and stakeholders together for a major humanitarian fundraiser aimed at supporting healthcare, education and community development projects across Lagos and Ogun states

Rotary International District 9112 has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to humanity, as Rotarians across Lagos and Ogun states converged for a high-impact fundraising event aimed at supporting life-changing humanitarian projects across vulnerable communities.

The fundraiser, which brought together Rotary leaders, members, corporate partners and friends of the organisation, served as both a rallying point for compassion and a powerful statement of Rotary’s enduring mission to serve above self.

District Governor, Rtn. Lanre Adedoyin, while addressing participants, described the initiative as a reaffirmation of Rotary’s values, stressing that service to humanity remains the heartbeat of the organisation.

He noted that the funds raised would be deployed strategically to support healthcare, education, sanitation, youth empowerment and community development projects across the district.

According to him, Rotary’s impact is best measured by the lives it touches, adding that the district is determined to deepen its reach by investing in sustainable interventions that directly improve the quality of life of underserved populations.

The event also featured goodwill messages from senior Rotarians and stakeholders, who commended the district for sustaining a strong culture of giving, accountability and impact.

Speakers emphasised that beyond fundraising, the gathering symbolised unity of purpose and collective responsibility toward building stronger communities.

Highlights of the evening included heartfelt testimonies from beneficiaries of previous Rotary interventions, reinforcing the tangible difference made possible through consistent generosity and service-driven leadership.

Several clubs made significant financial commitments, while corporate partners pledged continued collaboration in advancing Rotary’s humanitarian agenda. The atmosphere was charged with optimism, fellowship and renewed resolve to scale up impact.

Organisers described the fundraiser as a major success, noting that the impressive turnout and level of contributions reflect growing confidence in Rotary’s development work and transparent use of resources.
