[dropcap]S[/dropcap]enator Otunba Gbenga Daniel, representing the Ogun East Senatorial District, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Senator Monday Okpebholo on his election as the Governor of Edo State.

Okpebholo, who emerged victorious in the Edo State governorship election held on Saturday, 21st September 2024, ran under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Senator Daniel praised Okpebholo for his remarkable leadership, recalling his outstanding service as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Procurement.

During his tenure, Okpebholo demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, fostering collaboration and leaving a lasting legacy of service. Daniel commended his strategic thinking and humility, traits that earned him admiration from colleagues and constituents alike.

The Ogun East Senator also highlighted Okpebholo’s extensive electioneering efforts across villages and towns in Edo State.

He noted that Okpebholo’s respectful disposition towards voters, regardless of party affiliation, played a significant role in his electoral success.

According to Daniel, Okpebholo’s humility and dedication to connecting with the people of Edo have now been rewarded with this governorship victory.

Senator Daniel expressed confidence in Okpebholo’s ability to lead Edo State effectively, describing him as a deep thinker and responsible strategist.

He extended his best wishes to the Governor-elect, encouraging him to build on his campaign promises and deliver quality governance to the people of Edo.

“To many of us who have had reasons to work with you at close quarters, we appreciate you as a very deep thinker, highly responsible strategist,” he said.
