Speaking during a conversation with Selah Meditate in Nigeria on Sunday, June 15, 2026, Seun Kuti dismissed any suggestion that the matter had been settled.

He made it clear that his position has not changed and declined to engage further on the issue when questioned.

The musician linked the disagreement to comments he believes were made concerning his late father, Fela Kuti. He insisted that respect for his father remains central to his stance.
