The project, blending private initiative, government support, and community participation, aims to ease transportation, stimulate local commerce, and improve the lives of residents who rely on the road daily.
At the commissioning event, Governor Soludo hailed Chief Obele’s commitment as exemplary.
He described the road as a model for sustainable community development that government alone cannot achieve.
“At the speed that we need to move, government alone cannot achieve development. Our people are all over the world, developing and shining the light,” Soludo said, urging Anambra indigenes to invest in their communities.
Chief Anthony Obele, who financed the project, emphasised that contributions to community infrastructure reflect true leadership and personal commitment.
He pledged more initiatives in the future, stating, “This is just the beginning of what we’ll do.”
Residents, including the Traditional Ruler and President General of Ezinifite, celebrated the road as a symbol of empowerment and a sign that tangible progress is possible when citizens take ownership of their communities.

Governor Soludo encouraged similar collaborations across Anambra, stating that even small acts, such as paving a short stretch of road, can significantly impact community development.
