The critic questioned why Momodu, approaching 40, continued to flaunt luxury items while her peers were “building businesses and buying houses.”
“Lol, at this age, you are still showing boxes of Hermes. All you have used all your life to do is seek social media validation,” the comment read.
In response, Momodu defended her lifestyle and highlighted her professional and philanthropic achievements.
She emphasised that her critics often ignore her brand deals, charity work through the Precious Jewels Foundation, business ventures, international trips, and media appearances.
“Ah ah no be ‘it’s fake’, again?? When I’m at my collaborative book launch, giving back through Precious Jewels Foundation, at BlissbyTSM showroom, signing deals, doing international brand trips, you’ll never see them. But God forbid, I post myself chilling, minding my business, and it doesn’t match their weird projections; here they come, sticking up the whole place. You love me, bye!” she wrote.
The exchange sparked debates on social media, with many fans praising Momodu for standing up to unfair criticism.
Instagram users shared mixed reactions, with some mocking the critic’s obsession and others defending Sophia’s right to showcase her lifestyle.
Earlier, Momodu also addressed claims that a Birkin bag she displayed was a replica, dismissing such allegations as attempts to “humble” her.
