Lagos State Speaker Mudashiru Obasa congratulates First Lady Oluremi Tinubu on her 64th birthday, praising her dedication to impacting Nigerian society and supporting national unity.

[dropcap]R[/dropcap]t. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Senator Oluremi Tinubu on her 64th birthday, lauding her as a compassionate leader committed to uplifting the citizens of Nigeria.

In a message released by the Speaker’s media office, Obasa highlighted the First Lady’s courage, dedication to societal betterment, and unwavering support for her husband, President Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. He described her as a “shining light” and a role model for Nigerian women, stating that her service exemplifies commitment to lifting the downtrodden.

“The First Lady’s love for Nigeria and her contributions to national unity and development are worthy of emulation by every well-meaning citizen. She has consistently touched lives across the country, particularly in empowering women and children,” said Obasa.

He acknowledged Senator Tinubu’s philanthropic efforts, which have solidified her reputation as a notable politician and advocate for good governance, youth, and the elderly. Obasa emphasized her significant role in fostering a vibrant democracy, recalling her impact during her tenure as First Lady of Lagos State.

“Our First Lady has been a great pillar of support for the President, taking on roles that further unify the country,” he remarked. “History will remember how she and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu contributed to the democracy we enjoy today.”

Obasa recalled how, as a true mother, Senator Tinubu ensured the well-being of those exiled during the fight against the annulment of the June 12, 1993 presidential election results won by Chief MKO Abiola. He praised her initiatives, including educational programs like the Spelling Bee Competition, which have nurtured future leaders.

As a Senator, he noted, she has championed numerous causes to advance Lagos State, making it proud of her achievements. “We can never forget the impact of her New Era Foundation, which has provided many Nigerians with renewed hope and purpose.”

On this special occasion, Obasa expressed prayers for Senator Tinubu, wishing her continued grace, good health, and divine wisdom to carry on her impactful work, stating, “We remain proud of her legacy.”
