In a recent interview with BBC Pidgin, reality TV star and media personality Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, said her motivation comes from the need to see positive change in how Nigeria is governed.

She stressed that politics plays a crucial role in shaping everyday life and that real transformation requires active participation from well-intentioned individuals.

“People always say after God, it’s politics. Truly, one government policy can make or break you,” Tacha said.

“If you keep complaining about the system, it only makes sense to get involved and make decisions that will make life easier for people.”

The former Big Brother Naija contestant explained that she plans to leverage her influence and public voice to advocate for accountability, transparency, and responsible leadership in government.

She emphasised that her political drive is not for personal benefit but to represent citizens and hold leaders accountable.

“Politics is something I’m passionate about. I will continue using my platform to push for good governance and speak up when leaders fail to do what’s right,” she added.

Tacha’s statement has resonated with many of her followers, who praised her for her courage and willingness to champion change.
