Delborough Lagos and Tiwa Savage’s PR team hosted journalists after protests over T-shirt rules at the Music Foundation launch
Management of The Delborough Lagos hosted journalists on Tuesday following protests over their treatment at the launch of the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation.

Reporters were initially denied entry for not wearing branded T-shirts required by the hotel. While some complied, others from mainstream media refused, describing the rule as disrespectful.
Protests led management to waive the requirement, though tensions persisted inside the venue due to competing social media content creators.

On Tuesday, the hotel management and Tiwa Savage’s PR team apologized, invited journalists to a meeting, and discussed ways to improve future events. Journalists were also treated to dinner and a tour of the hotel to ease tensions.
