The exchange occurred on Instagram after a follower encouraged the singer to use her platform to draw attention to the ongoing security challenges in the country.
In her response, Tiwa Savage recalled that she was strongly criticised when she previously spoke about similar issues, noting that the backlash discouraged constant public commentary.
She wrote: “When I spoke, I was crucified for it but trust me that won’t stop me from still being active. Just know just because you might not see my post about it does not mean I am not doing anything. I just don’t have to validate my actions, God sees 🙏🏾 May God help us and guide us all with the right wisdom to overcome this tragedy 🙏🏾”
The singer added that her silence on social media should not be mistaken for inactivity, stressing that she continues to contribute in ways that may not always be visible to the public.
Her response has since generated mixed reactions online, with many users praising her calm tone while others debated the expectations placed on celebrities to speak on national issues.
