“One event away from RIP” — VeryDarkMan’s chilling warning on Nigeria

Nigerian social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has issued a strong warning following the recent deadly attack in Jos, Plateau State.

The incident, which occurred on March 29 in Angwa Rukuba, reportedly involved armed assailants who opened fire on residents, leaving several people dead and many others injured.

Reacting in a video shared on Instagram, Martins Vincent Otse described the current state of insecurity as alarming.

Martins Vincent Otse said Nigerians are increasingly vulnerable, warning that anyone could become a victim at any time.

“Living in Nigeria right now means you are one event away from making the news with an RIP tag,” he said.

Providing further details, Martins Vincent Otse revealed that he visited the community a day after the attack and found disturbing scenes.

Martins Vincent Otse said some victims’ bodies had already begun to decompose, reflecting the severity of the situation.

The activist urged citizens to prioritise their safety, expressing frustration with the government’s response.

Martins Vincent Otse called on Nigerians to remain vigilant, stating that further attacks could occur.

VeryDarkMan reaction has since sparked widespread debate across social media, with many Nigerians echoing concerns about rising insecurity.

Other public figures also reacted to the tragedy. Nollywood actor Bolanle Ninalowo described himself as a voice for the people and expressed deep sorrow over the killings.

Similarly, actor Kunle Remi used the moment to address President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, calling for leadership that understands the struggles of citizens.

Former Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike also weighed in, expressing pessimism about the nation’s direction while urging reflection on governance.

Music star Davido, who has previously spoken against violence in parts of the country, reiterated calls for unity and peace in Nigeria.

Actress Toyin Abraham highlighted the emotional toll of such incidents on families, especially mothers, stressing that recurring violence continues to fracture communities.

In a notable moment reflecting youth sentiment, Boluwatife Balogun added his voice, stating that his generation would not accept a future defined by fear.
