In a video shared on social media, the well-known activist, VeryDarkMan, has issued a stark warning about the pressures of internet glamour and the reality behind celebrity lifestyles.
His message is clear: what you see online is often just a façade.
VeryDarkMan recently took aim at Mike Premium, the manager of popular comedian Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, also known as Sabinus.
This confrontation began when Mike called out VeryDarkMan, prompting the activist to respond with a revealing video.
VeryDarkMan produced receipts showing how Mike promised to secure a spot for a lady on the Big Brother Naija show after a payment of ₦5 million.

Despite the payment, the lady was not selected for the show, and Mike has yet to refund the full money.
In his video, VeryDarkMan questioned the authenticity and transparency of Big Brother Naija and MultiChoice, the show’s producers, in their participant selection process.
Beyond his dispute with Mike Premium, VeryDarkMan’s broader message is a caution against being swayed by the glitz and glamour portrayed online.
He encourages people to remain grounded and not be pressured by the seemingly perfect lives of celebrities.
This isn’t the first time VeryDarkMan has called out influencers for unethical behavior.
Recently, he criticized influencer Ash Musy for failing to refund money for an advertisement, despite months of delay.
Ash Musy initially refused to return the funds, claiming her status as a ‘fine girl’ should excuse her actions. However, she eventually refunded the money after VeryDarkMan’s public criticism.
