The 25-year-old sealed a high-profile €75m permanent move from Napoli, becoming the most expensive player in Turkish football history.
The fee surpasses the previous record of €19.5m paid by Fenerbahçe for Youssef En-Nesyri. Galatasaray will pay €40m upfront and the remaining €35m by the end of 2026.
Osimhen enjoyed a blistering loan spell at the club last season, scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.
However, he missed the team’s opening Super Lig win over Gaziantep due to limited pre-season preparation.
Coach Okan Buruk explained the decision, telling CNN Turk:“Osimhen had only a five or six-day training period. Playing under such conditions could have been risky. We agreed it was wiser to prepare fully for the next match.”
