Wabara made the declaration after the foundation laying ceremony of the Ukwa-East General Hospital, moving a motion for Governor Otti’s second term endorsement.
The motion was seconded by Louis Obianyi, a serving member of the Abia State House of Assembly.
Explaining the decision, Wabara said the support transcends party affiliation, stressing that residents of Ukwa-East and other parts of Abia State were satisfied with the governor’s performance.
He described the backing as a reflection of what he called tangible development initiatives across the state.
Leaders from Ukwa-East, joined by former Secretary-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Okey Emuchay, appealed to Governor Otti to revive the Abia Palm Company located in the area, arguing that its restoration would generate employment and stimulate economic growth.
In his address, Governor Otti reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to quality and accessible healthcare, stating that no community in Abia should be left without adequate medical services.
The event also witnessed the formal reception of former members of the PDP and the All Progressives Congress into the Labour Party, signalling a notable political shift in the area ahead of the 2027 elections.
